Do you assist families who live out of state?
Yes, many of our clients have parents within our service area, but do not live here themselves. Geriatric care managers are a terrific resource for long-distance caregivers.

Does your firm provide hands-on care?
No, we are not a home care agency. We are care advisors, rather than care providers. If we identify that one of our clients needs home care, or any other service, we will refer that client to the appropriate agency.

Are you a nationally certified care manager?
Yes, the geriatric care managers who work at our firm have obtained national certifications, as required by the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers (NAPGCM). Read more on our “Certifications” page under the heading “About Us”.

Are geriatric care management fees covered by Medicare or Medicaid?
No, geriatric care management fees are a private pay expense, however, many long-term care insurance policies will reimburse policy holders for our fees.

Does your firm receive reimbursements, or kick-backs, from care facilities or other service providers?
No, we are paid by our clients, not by the service providers to whom we may refer them to. We believe that it is the most ethical, objective way to serve our clients and their families. Furthermore, the practice of accepting such fees violates the ethical guidelines established by the NAPGCM.
